Luke 20:41-44 Then he presented them with a question. "Why is it," he asked, "that Christ, the Messiah, is said to be a descendant of King David? 42,43 For David himself wrote in the book of Psalms: 'God said to my Lord, the Messiah, "Sit at my right hand until I place your enemies beneath your feet." ' 44 How can the Messiah be both David's son and David's God at the same time?"
Observation
At the end of chapter 19 Jesus cleaned his house, he tossed out the merchants who had turned the temple into a mall. Some “important” people wanted to know what authority Jesus had to throw them out.
Who was Jesus? What authority did he have? How can we know? I assert that there is no better witness than those people that were blessed to meet Jesus face to face.
A long time back in my Bible study I started keeping a list in my Bible of all the instances in the Gospels where somebody declared who Jesus is. Over and over again by his disciples, the Roman guards at the cross, the Samaritans and many other people and also through demons we are told that Jesus is the Messiah, Son of God, Savior and the Lamb of God. Here is a partial list of testimonies of who Jesus is:

How can we ignore “such a great cloud of witnesses” (Heb 12:1-2) Over and over again people and demons declare that Jesus is the Son of God, and who would know Jesus better than the demons, they knew their enemy when they saw Him.
We all have to decide for ourselves who Jesus is, but lets make sure that we look at the facts from when he was here on this earth. Too many people today decide their opinion without looking at the truths in scripture. Thankfully God preserved His word so that we can know the truth.
John 20:30-31 Jesus' disciples saw him do many other miracles besides the ones told about in this book, but these are recorded so that you will believe that he is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that believing in him you will have life.
Application
I will look for the truth in his word everyday.
Prayer
Father I pray that I will always search for truth and know you and know how I am supposed to live. Give me the truth in your word.
