God has all of the details covered.
Luke 12: 6-7, 22-26, 31 “What is the price of five sparrows—two copper coins? Yet God does not forget a single one of them. 7 And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.
Jesus said, “That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food to eat or enough clothes to wear. 23 For life is more than food, and your body more than clothing.
24 Look at the ravens. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for God feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than any birds! 25 Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? 26 And if worry can’t accomplish a little thing like that, what’s the use of worrying over bigger things?
31 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and he will give you everything you need.
The price on a bird in Jesus day was not very high, you could get five sparrows for two copper coins, they weren't valuable. Imagine God having time for them, it is amazing that God went into such minute detail about every little part of creation and even more amazing, he is still in control of all of the tiny details. How much more do you think that he must care for you?
Jesus wanted to prove to us that his children don't need to worry about everyday life, the stuff that can be so consuming that it takes all of our time away from what is really important.
When the Israelites left Egypt they didn't have a planning committee, there wasn't any preparations for the trip, they had to put their trust in God. Jehovah Jireh was their provider, he provided food in the wilderness (Exodus 16:13-18), he met all of the practical needs of his people (Deut 2:7), their clothes didn't even wear out (Deut 8:4).
Jesus promised that God will handle the details if I will seek after the kingdom, if I am seeking out God's will and work for my life it will take up all of the time that would have been spent worrying about stuff that doesn't matter. God is in control and there isn't anything that I can do to change what tomorrow will bring, whether it is sadness or joy, poverty or riches, it is all up to him.
Help me to leave the details in your hands Lord.
