Can anybody tell how blessed you are?
Psalms 5:11-12 But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them sing joyful praises forever. Spread your protection over them, that all who love your name may be filled with joy. For you bless the godly, O LORD; you surround them with your shield of love.Are Christ followers the happiest people on the planet? They are certainly the most blessed people, but does it show?
Why are there so many angry, unhappy people sitting in church on Sunday morning? It seems that rejoicing isn't a habit for the majority of people. I always think how hypocritical and sad is to sing songs like "Count Your Blessing" with dismal looks on our faces. There isn't much evidence in the church that the good news is really good news.
Help us to be aware of what you have done for us Lord. Help us to make you famous for having a following of people full of joy.
