You have a great reason to have hope.
SCRIPTUREColossians 1:3 We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, 4 because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all the saints— 5 the faith and love that spring from the hope that is stored up for you in heaven and that you have already heard about in the word of truth, the gospel 6 that has come to you. All over the world this gospel is bearing fruit and growing, just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and understood God's grace in all its truth.
OBSERVATION
Many of God's people today act like they don't have any hope but nothing could be further from the truth. We have the greatest hope stored up inside of us, a hope that should sustain us in every trial that comes our way in this temporary existence.
I will dare to say that a person that doesn't show much of either faith or love maybe really is not a follower of Christ.
I have a great hope that the world cannot understand, because of that hope I will live with faith in Christ and love for those around me.
1 Peter 3:15 Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.
APPLICATION
This is the day that the Lord has made and I am going to rejoice and be glad it (Psalms 118:24).
PRAYER
Father help us to remember that this life is only a temporary assignment, thank you that I have a far better existence coming my way in just a little while.
