Meeting Jesus Makes Life Exciting

The Christian life is anything but boring.

John 20:18 "I have seen the Lord!"

1 John 1:1 We proclaim to you the one who existed from the beginning, whom we have heard and seen. We saw him with our own eyes and touched him with our own hands. He is the Word of life. This one who is life itself was revealed to us, and we have seen him. And now we testify and proclaim to you that he is the one who is eternal life. He was with the Father, and then he was revealed to us. We proclaim to you what we ourselves have actually seen and heard so that you may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.

1 John 4:14 Furthermore, we have seen with our own eyes and now testify that the Father sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.

Acts 2:32,4:20 "God raised Jesus from the dead, and we are all witnesses of this." "We cannot stop telling about everything we have seen and heard."

There are a lot of techniques for sharing the good news that have been invented to help us have the confidence to share about our Savior, but back in the time that Jesus was on earth they didn't need to take a class, they were so excited about having been with Jesus that they couldn't keep it to themselves.

  • The Shepherds told everybody after they visited the baby Jesus,
  • Simeon and Anna met Jesus when he was presented in the temple were both excited,
  • Andrew went to get his brother Simon,
  • Greedy Matthew left his exceptional income as a tax collector,
  • The Samaritan woman went and got her entire village,
  • The disciples were on fire for Jesus after his resurrection,
  • Saul met Jesus and his preaching was indisputable proof that Jesus is the Messiah,
Every time that people really saw Jesus for who he is there was an excitement that could not be contained, the apostles lives were never the same after Jesus came into their life, imagine getting to live side by side with the promised Messiah and being an eye-witness that can vouch for his credibility.

The people that met Jesus in the New Testament didn't live a dull boring life but instead the Savior brought them excitement and hope.

Its difficult to feel the excitement level that the people that met Jesus face to face must of had. But he is still our awesome Savior and we should live each day with the excitement of knowing that this is a temporary assignment and better days are ahead because we have Jesus looking after us today and for eternity.

1 Peter 1:3 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation.

I pray Lord that my life will over flow with excitement from having met you, I want to live each day in victory knowing that i have a bright future in eternity with you.
